Import contacts.
Upload a CSV, an Excel file or a Google Sheets link, and match your columns.
Go to Contacts and click Import contacts. You can use:
- A CSV file
- An Excel file
- A Google Sheets link
Files up to 25 MB work.
Google Sheets
Share the sheet as “Anyone with the link can view”. Then paste the link.
Tick Keep in sync to import new rows every hour. New people join any running campaign that uses this list.
Match your columns
We show the rows we found. Pick which column has the email address. Then match the others: first name, last name, company, job title.
Any other column becomes a variable you can use in your emails. For example, a column called “city” becomes {{city}}.
What happens next
- We check every address. Addresses that can’t receive email and throwaway inboxes are left out. See How we check contacts.
- We tag each contact with their email provider: Google, Microsoft, Zoho, Yahoo or Other. See Email providers (ESP).
- Duplicates are merged.
- Blocked and bounced emails are skipped.
When it’s done, you see how many were imported and how many were left out, with the reason.
Using a list in a campaign
Pick one or more lists in a campaign. Someone in two lists gets your emails only once.
