Email providers (ESP sending and matching).
Choose which providers a campaign emails, and send Google leads from Google mailboxes.
“ESP” means the email provider your lead uses: Google, Microsoft, Zoho, Yahoo or Other.
How we know
When you import a list, we look up each domain’s mail servers. Then we tag each contact. “Other” means their own mail servers, iCloud, GoDaddy, or an inbox behind a security tool like Proofpoint or Mimecast.
ESP sending: choose who gets emailed
In a campaign, under Targeted ESPs, choose which providers this campaign emails. For example, only Microsoft.
- Switching a provider off sets its leads aside right away, even in a running campaign.
- Switching it back on picks them up again.
ESP matching: same provider, better delivery
Turn on ESP matching in the campaign’s senders step:
- Google senders email Google leads.
- Microsoft senders email Microsoft leads.
- Others use any sender.
Email between the same provider often lands better. If there is no matching sender for a provider, those leads are sent from any of the campaign’s mailboxes.
Tip
Connect at least one Google and one Microsoft mailbox. Then ESP matching can work for most of your leads.
