# Pause, edit and restart a campaign

Change a running campaign, add steps, and stop the sequence for a lead.

## Pause and resume

Click **Pause** on an active campaign. No more emails go out. Click **Resume** to continue where it stopped.

## Edit while running

You can edit a running campaign: emails, schedule, limits and senders. Changes apply to the next emails it sends. Big content changes may get a quick review first.

## Turn providers on or off

Switch a provider off under **ESP sending**: its leads are set aside right away. Switch it back on: they join the sequence again.

## Add a step to a finished campaign

When all leads have finished, click **Add step and restart**. Write the new email. Leads continue from where they stopped. You can choose to send it **only to leads who never replied**.

## Stop the sequence for some leads

Open the campaign’s **Leads**, select people, and click **Stop sequence**. They get no more emails from this campaign.

## Out of office

If a lead’s reply is an out-of-office message, we pause their sequence until they’re back.

## Duplicate

Click **Duplicate** to copy a campaign’s settings and emails into a new draft.
